When is the event?

The event occurs on Sunday, March 3rd from 1-4PM at Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City.

How do I get started?

Register: You can participate as an  INDIVIDUAL, as part of an EXISTING TEAM, or you can FORM YOUR OWN TEAM.

Log into your Participant Center and personalize with a photo and/or a personal message.

Email friends, family and coworkers from your Participant Center —it leads them right to your Donation Page—and win prizes.

I want to send emails from my personal email application, like Gmail or Outlook. What should I do?

Check out this step-by-step guide for embedding a personal URL that sends donors directly to your Personal Donation Page.  However, please consider emailing from your Participant Center. It's easy to import your contacts into the Center.  Then, all the records of who you emailed to and who donated to you stay with you for as many times as you participate in a Project Angel Food fundraising "thon", like Bowling for Angels.

How do I make a donation? (Thanks for asking!)

If you received an email from a participating Bowler, you can find a link that goes directly to their Personal Donation Page at the bottom of that email.

If you have not received an email from a participating Bowler or no longer have the email, click here or on the large DONATE button on the homepage. Enter the participant or team’s name into the search bar and select the participant. Once you are on their fundraising page, click on the donate button.

I want to sponsor an entire team or the event itself. What should I do? (Thanks for asking!)

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Project Angel Food is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. If you enter your email address during the donation process, upon completing the process, you will receive a thank you letter with details of your donation. Please retain this letter for your tax records.

What if my donors need a receipt?

Every donor receives a confirmation email as soon as the donation is processed. This email includes a summary of their donation along with the Tax ID number of the organization. If they did not give an email address, send me an email at with as much information as you can about the donation. We will generate a letter and mail it to them.

How do I handle donations by check or cash?  Can a donor give me a credit card number?

You can enter cash, check or credit card donations in your Participant Center. Log in and click on "Enter New Gift" on the right side of the screen.  Enter the details of the donation; it will count toward your fundraising total.  Then, send in the checks or a check for the cash total using this  Mail-In Donation Form (Update link) (also found on the Donate page, as well as at the bottom of the online donation form). Complete a form for each donation. You can send in more than one donation in the same envelope, but each donation must have a separate form.

Please complete the form, attach your check, and follow the mailing directions on the form.  If you cannot mail a donation to reach Project Angel Food by Monday, May 14, please bring it with the donation form filled out to the event on May 19th.

When I try to register, log in, and/or donate online, I don’t seem to be able to get past a certain point in the process. What should I do?

Please ensure your browser is set to accept cookies and allow pop-ups for Also, the website uses Javascript, and this must be enabled to enter your Participation Center.  (If you are trying to donate on a work computer, chances are the default security settings are preventing you from proceeding.) Where do the funds go?

All proceeds from Bowling for Angels are dedicated to Project Angel Food’s free meal delivery program. We feed and nourish the sick as they battle critical illness. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver nutritious meals, free of charge, to homes throughout Los Angeles County to alleviate hunger, prevent malnutrition and return our clients to health.
